The Deserted Village

This was a college group project which I made with Pat Clancy, Jack Browne and Jennifer White. The Deserted Village is a poem that was written by Oliver Goldsmith in 1770. For this brief the class was split into six groups and each were given different stanzas of the poem. Each group had to make an animation out of the text which they were given. We were in group 5 and had stanza 15 and 16. This stanza talks about a village inn which used to be very lively in the past but which is now abandoned and lonely.

The music for stanza 15 is from the soundtrack of the Quiet Man movie and the second stanza is a soundtrack from freesound.org.
I was resposible for most of the Village Set. The group worked together when drawing and cutting out the Design template (made by Jack) which made up the basic shape of our little houses. I painted most of the village houses and gave the fixed Version ones roofs. The roofs were made out of fake fur. Overall there were around 30 little houses. All of them got windows and doors glued onto them which were cut out by Jenni.

For the Pub Interior Set I helped painting the walls, floor and made the little paintings.
